I
I am an artist currently residing in central Minnesota. My artistic focus is centered around the interplay between the natural world and human intervention. I hold the belief that beauty is subjective; there are very few hard and fast rules for what is visually appealing. Rather, aesthetic is a matter of individual perception, and anything has the potential to be beautiful.

As reflected in my body of work, I have a passion for all things wild, particularly birds! I have worked professionally as a fundraising consultant for animal rescues, and I have been fortunate enough to be able to take my work "on the road" spending the last few years traveling the world specifically to see a variety of bird species that don't typically visit the United States. Despite the many remarkable, colorful birds I've seen in my travels, my favorite of all remains the Sandhill Crane, a bird that most midwesterners would recognize with ease.

When I am not creating artwork or traveling, you might find me tending to my ever-expanding houseplant collection, reading a book under my favorite blanket (I just finished Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life With the Heart of a Buddha and would absolutely recommend it to anyone struggling with trauma, or feelings of guilt or shame), or finding new recipes to try.

My mission in life is simply to leave the world a better place through activism, education, giving, and doing all things with loving kindness.
